Ice, Ice, Baby

I was so looking forward to a few hours to myself today. I had big plans and a long list. My husband works in the retail biz and of course, this is one of the busiest times of the year for him…and therefore, me. Bryce’s preschool offers a Parent’s Day Out (POD) during the week for younger siblings. A blessing for those of us that have no family near and a busy partner!

At 7:00 am this morning, my wonderful plans came to a screeching halt. I logged on and read the local news website only to find that the schools had a 2 hour delay due to ice. Crap. That means no AM preschool or PDO.

A few minutes later I remembered that poor Eli was still outside waiting for the bus! I wrapped up in a blanket and stepped outside to tell him to come in, he slips and falls on the sidewalk. “See, that is why school is cancelled this morning”

We have always been a strange family with strange made up words and such. But thanks to Eli’s social studies teacher, we might be a little weirder. Thank you Mr. Spring for the way you pronounce the following words:

Thanksgiving - Thanksgivering
Question – Keshton
Monday – Mondee Tuesday – Tuesdee (You see where this is going..)
